<H1>Jean Duncan Artist Commissions and Purchase of Limited Edition Prints and Original Artwork</h1>
A warm welcome to the Jean Duncan web site, dedicated to simply
breathtaking artwork. I specialise in portrait painting commissions
in oil and acrylic and paint child portraits, adult portraits and pet portraits.
I also paint beautiful landscape paintings and traditional Chinese art.
Don’t worry if a painting or pencil sketch you particularly appreciate
is sold, I welcome painting commissions and many pieces are available
as signed limited edition prints.
Currently over 90% of my work is commission based. To arrange an original piece, please
consult the following guidelines:
People and Pet Portraits
Arranging a portrait is child’s play - simply e-mail photographs to sales@jean-duncan.com
I will select the photo I think will make the best portrait and e-mail you to ensure you are happy.
Please make sure that photographs are as clear as possible, and that the subject occupies as much
of the photograph as possible. As an alternative, portrait sittings may also be possible - please contact me
I will send a scan of the portrait painting when it is nearing completion to see if there are are any areas you are
unhappy with or if there are any features in the portrait that you would like emphasised etc. When you are happy the
portrait painting will be sent on, subject to collection of the necessary fee. A 30% deposit is payable in advance.
Costs are based upon the number of people or pets, background, painting size and the medium used.

1) Guide prices are based on a single subject and plain background
2) I would normally recommend acrylic for most paintings

can e-mail a scan of greater resolution.
• Please note that prices quoted do not include postage and packaging, please also be
assured that packaging will not reveal the content (useful if the purchase is for a gift!)
Chinese Art and Landscape Paintings
The procedure for placing Chinese Art and Landscape commissions is in essence identical to that
detailed for portraits above, prices will be quoted following discussion. Please note that traditional
Chinese art scenes can be produced for almost any occasion, in either pen and ink or watercolour.
Many different sizes are available. Please email sales@jean-duncan.com with your request.
Payment by Cheque
Please contact me to obtain details of where to send your cheque.
Please note cheques must be made payable to Qin Duncan. Please write the title of the piece you
wish to purchase on the back of the cheque.
