A warm welcome to the Jean Duncan web site, dedicated to simply

breathtaking portraits, landscapes and traditional Chinese art. I specialise

in portrait paintings in oil, acrylic and pencil and paint child portraits,

adult portraits and pet portraits. My work is critically acclaimed and I

exhibit throughout the UK. For the second year running, my work was

displayed in the famous Mall Galleries, London (home of the FBA) in June

I offer portraits from photos as well as a truly exclusive bespoke

service, where portraits are produced during sittings. The results are both

stunning and distinctive. Many pieces have been bought by collectors.


I also paint beautiful landscape paintings, some of the stunning

Pembrokeshire coastline near to Tenby, where I live. My  traditional

Chinese artwork is both unusual and popular and makes for a

perfect gift. Please do not worry if a painting or pencil sketch you

particularly appreciate is sold, most work is commission based and many

pieces are available as signed limited edition prints. If you feel inspired

to try painting yourself, then I also take art classes.
